1st Safety over EtherCAT Plug Fest
|Date:||May 27, 2019 - May 28, 2019|
We invite and encourage all vendors of EtherCAT safety master systems, safety slave devices, codes and tools to participate in the inaugural Safety over EtherCAT Plug Fest taking place May 27+28, 2019, in Verl, Germany, at facilities hosted by ETG member company BECKHOFF Automation GmbH & Co. KG. Thanks to BECKHOFF there are no participation costs (travel and lodging to be arranged by individual).
This developer event provides a platform for FSoE master and FSoE slave device suppliers to come together. It is the first EtherCAT PlugFest that is focused on Safety over EtherCAT devices and controller only. In a heterogeneous environment the devices can be tested with other devices to improve interoperability. Experts of the technology will support with their know-how on-site and can clarify questions regarding the Safety over EtherCAT technology.
The Plug Fests have established themselves as pragmatic and effective means to achieve interoperable EtherCAT products. The general FSoE connection configuration, process data exchange and diagnosis capabilities will be tested. The current FSoE EtherCAT Conformance Test Tool (CTT) will be used to check device behaviour and interoperability.
Only manufacturers with at least functional prototypes are invited, observers are not allowed. One or two device developers per device are expected. Attendees are not entitled to publish or communicate test results of other participating companies.
The registration form can be found on the last page of the invitation (please return one form for each device). Registration deadline is monday, May 13, 2019.
